Terms & Conditions
Below you'll find some general terms and conditions that all students and guardians of students should be aware of when using the Bubblegum Academy website.
All students and enrollees must follow the rules outlined below.
No bullying or inappropriate behaviour
Bubblegum Academy and its employees enforce a zero tolerance policy with regards to all forms of bullying both online and in person. Any students who are victims of bullying in our membership forums or during live sessions should contact us immediately. Likewise, if you witness another student being bullied or subjected to inappropriate behaviour please report it to us as soon as possible.

Any student who we deem is acting inappropriately towards another student or employee of the academy will be removed and banned permanently.
No bad language
Students may have the opportunity to speak during live sessions. With this in mind, we ask that students refrain from using bad language or inappropriate language that others may find offensive.

We know this is highly unlikely to ever happen, but we need to mention it all the same!

We also ask that you do the same in the membership forums.
Be on time for live classes
Please be aware that live sessions will always begin on time unless a technical issue arises. Latecomers distract the other students and the tutors so we ask that you login and be ready for class at least five minutes before the scheduled start time.
Please be considerate of your classmates
Live classes are not one-on-one sessions. While the class tutor may open the floor to questions, please remember that other students may also have questions too.
Do not record or share Bubblegum Academy content
We will record all live classes and make them available online within 48 hours of the class finishing. You will also find all of our pre recorded classes are easily accessible through your member account page.

So we ask that you DO NOT record any of our classes or share our content. As part of your subscription you have unlimited access to our content, but it still remains our property at all times.
Treat all live classes like an in-person class
That means that you should:

-Dress appropriately
-Refrain from eating during class
-Set any phones to silent or switch off
-Limit any background noise (loud music or TV)
-Be polite at all times

We hope it never comes to this, but failure to follow the rules as set out above may result in a student's permanent removal from the academy.
Live class guidelines
Live classes are held on Zoom. You will find a link to the class in your 'Live Classes' section on your member account page. All classes are also recorded.

Before each live class, please make sure that your camera is turned on and connect to your device's audio by default in your Zoom settings.

Please check that your equipment is working correctly and that you know how to use Zoom before the class. Our tutors will not be able to help you during the live session.

Here's a quick checklist for parents or guardians to go through before each live class:
-Is your camera on?
-Is your internet connection stable?
-Are you in a quiet spot in the house?
-Is there good lighting? (natural light is always good)

If you are having difficulty attending live classes for personal reasons and need some assistance, please feel free to get in touch with the Bubblegum Academy team and we'll do our best to help you out.

Cancellation policy
All members who sign up for the academy have a three-day cooling-off period where you can cancel your subscription without being charged.

Your membership operates as a rolling subscription that is billed monthly and has no minimum term of the contract.

This means that you are free to cancel at any time during your membership. Just send us an email at [email protected] and we'll sort it for you :) 
Once you cancel, your membership will remain in effect until the end of the current billing period. So for example, if you cancel your membership 10 days before the end of your billing period, you will still have access to academy content until those 10 days have passed.

As we are a digital academy operating on a rolling monthly subscription, we do not offer any refunds except where required to by Australian Competition and Consumer Commission Law.
